Морис Равель — один из самых известных композиторов всех времен за его огромную преданность музыке. Болеро еще больше улучшило ее фигуру. Это музыкальное произведение было создано, когда в 1927 году Равель получил заказ от русской танцовщицы и хореографа Иды Рубинштейн для создания «балета испанского характера».
Произведение характеризовалось остинато до мажор, типом навязчивой мелодии с неизменным ритмом и темпом. Эта мелодия постоянно повторяется без изменений, и единственное, что меняется, — это элементы оркестровки, создающие крещендо. Для Равеля это была простая работа, но за ней стояла оригинальная работа, которую до тех пор никто не видел.
Премьера болеро состоялась 22 ноября 1928 года и имела большой успех во всем мире.
