Но в их планы вмешивается Илья Горелов, сын влиятельного отца, привыкший получать то, что хочет, по первому требованию. На его ухаживания Оля отвечает отказом. И тогда Илья делает все так, чтобы убрать с дороги соперника, ведь одна на двоих никак не делится. В итоге, после череды событий, подстроенных Ильей, Петр попадает за решетку, а Оля вынуждена принять предложение Горелова и стать его женой.
